Behind the scenes

I'm home from my short "holiday" helping my boyfriend in filming projects for Vita-care and Adapt brand.

We started shooting a video on the set for Vita-care.
Vita-care found a lovely way to bring regular and fun physical activities back to handicapped people by the use of simulationtherapy by video.
For that day we shot a "salsa-dance activity". They would see a salsa dance in front of them and by the help of special simulation chairs and other furniture they would feel exact the same moves made there.
By stories I heard it helped a lot of people in many ways. Like it made a handicapped person sit up straight again, because his muscles and mind got stimulated by the moves the chair gave him. So that motivated them to continue on with many more videos and activities.
It's very interesting, so you can find out more about Vita-care on their website.

Adapt brand produces special stunt skates that "adapt" to your feet by the use of heatmolding the skate. It's a pretty interesting technique making a big difference (I felt it myself!!).

So we went abroad with the Adapt team and crew through the Netherlands for 3 days and filmed for a introduction and commercial on cinemasize. We had the Red Epic with us and pushed the limits on our small team..

It was great to experience the set behind the video's and for that I take you "behind the scenes" (:

I follow you

I'm almost through my working week and happy :D
Past weeks I could work over 25 hours each so I earned my monthsalaries in each week and cannot wait to see it coming in my account 8D Kachinnnggg

Also ! My boyfriend has arranged an place in Austria for this december, meaning I'm going to wintersport for the first time!! It's such an amazing thing to look forward on and I'm really excited (:
We're going to Berwang, in Tirol. It's a place where my boyfriend been for a couple of times on winter AND summer, so he already know people there and they will let us stay for one week to celebrate christmas there^^.

Can't wait!

Now I REALLY can't wait for it to become december!
Another reason is because my sister is gonna get married on 12/12/12 and I'm responsible for the media of her wedding.
I'll take care of the invitations, designs, photography and video. I'll do this together with my boyfriend and I really want to take this serious, I want to give her the best. So she will never forget the "best day of her life".
Weddings are so cute! If you romantic stories, I recommend you find wedding videos on youtube and Vimeo. Very inspirational and makes time fly full of love and fairytales.......
Thats all for now, tomorrow I'm going to help my sister looking for the perfect dress.

I wish you all a lovely weekend and talk to you soon again (:

Youknow what happens to carefull people?

While everythings going well, I have a hard time driving as my instructor is really strict on me.
Problem is, I'm a carefull person, doing things... carefully! But on the road it's dangerous, I understand. My instructor said "You shouldn't be so carefull. When you're carefull, people will bully you. At school they will bully you when you're carefull, but so will they on the road."
And he's true. It's the same in an indoorhall, I'm just too carefull to cross down fast with everyone around me "just in case" something happens, I'm fucked. But instead of that, people just use that oppertunity to cross fast past me. So I cant let that happen anymore ! It's best to become harder and clearer on what I want and what I'm gonna do so people don't need to question my actions.

My instructor is a wise and friendly man, I'm glad he's my driving instructor even though I can be very mad about when he keeeeeeeps correcting me. But that's what makes me the stubborn taurus.

Meanwhile waiting in a traffic jam caused by an open bridge...

New addi(c)tion

I've survived the weeks of work and look forward to my salary of the month :D
To reward myself, I bought a everwanted tablet, the Asus Transformer TF300
Not just for fun, this one's an investment for my school and future career :P And I can't wait to use apps like Adobe Prototype (:

So while I'm still figuring out all kinds of stuff this is the first time I'm writing a blogpost on it, with the usefull keyboard it's not really a difference. I love taking photo's on the tablet and edit them with pixlr. It's actually looking like a real daily photobook with everything I'm doing everyday.

I love it, I'm addicted....

Had a (rock) party with friends last monday

Boyfriend cooked me delicious tuna pasta <3

We went out for dinner yesterday

Playing in a new boulderhall in the city, he's really good at climbing. Love to look at him ;)

Just keep on playing (:

I love Aloë vera.

I use all my products of Aloë vera, but I never used it in this pure form. I wonder where I can actually find a natural Aloë vera leaf from where I live, cause I'd want to try this out!

Bring it on!

I'm ready for a new week!

I just passed a working week of 38 hours and my body hurted every evening by the physical work I had to do. Friday I couldnt even sleep by my body that didn't stop shaking!
I also had drive classes at the evenings.. I guess it all was just too much.

But after a somewhat relaxing saturday I felt better.
So yesterday we went wakeboarding again after a year waiting! And I could still do it :D (after some failing on the startblock..)
Untill my body started to shake again. I stopped after doing a few rounds and rested in the sun.
It was a shame I was too tired, but was happy I could still do atleast something. We ended the day with some sushi at the sushibar in Rotterdam. I love it there!
I got sunburnt and wounded at my left leg as I couldn't lift myself up and a sharp edge scratched it open, owwwww... But it was worth it, haha

Today I started a new working week of again 38 hours with only one driveclass this time. But I'm sure by the end of this week I'm totally beaten.

.... And I will go wakeboarding again this sunday!
Will see how I'll manage that when time's coming.

I hope you all will have a great week, I'll update you next week, If..
...I'm still alive :P

Take caree

Urgh my laziness!

haha seriously guys,

I've been too lazy these days that I didn't even take effort in writing a blog!

So what's new?

▪ I went to Rockwerchter festival and it was really awesome! VIEW THE ROCKWERCHTER POST NOW :D

▪ I got home from Rockwerchter and got depressed and lazy, I want to go back..

▪ I started a new game called C9, which is a free realtime action MMORPG to kill/waste time..

▪ I've visited a cs6 seminar at my school and got highlighted about the cs6 suite as the creative cloud! It got me pretty much excited so I will also write a post down below about this.

▪ I looked AND found a new bike! It's this Koya Miyata bike
I needed a new bike because my other bikes aren't able or safe to ride on. With the new bike I want to tour around and explore :D I'm getting it this week !

Also, since rockwerchter I caught a cold that caused me to stay in bed for a few days and still having painfull lungs. So I guess I should visit a doctor and check if everything is OK.

But for now, I will just finish these posts and head to sleep.

Rocking [at] Werchter

My very first long rock festival with an awesome line-up and awesome friends!

I've enjoyed my stay very much and met a lot of new people. Unfortunately my camera wasen't allowed to join me so I couldn't take any photo's which nearly make it seem for me that this whole holiday hasen't even happened..

Starts at the beginning...
My lovely sister wanted to bring us, me, Nath and Lies to Mechelen in Belgium where we could move on to Leuven by train and Werchter by bus. So we could avoid traffic jam and be here perfectly on time.
Only it didnt go as planned. In Mechelen we lost track and we couldn't find the trainstation and when we did find the trainstation and head on the train, I realized I left my wallet AND my mobile phone in my sisters car (repeating venice..). So when I stepped out on the next stop it took me an hour to get back in Mechelen and I couldnt reach my sister because I didn't have her phone number.
Yet she waited for me there and I resumed my trip (without Nath and Lies) and reached Rock werchter campings at around 3 pm (estimated time would be 1pm)

This was the tent I was staying in

That day it was 40° celsius and it was hard holding out in line on entering the festival terrain. A few people passed out and I also felt nauseous, which isnt strange as I was dizzy the day before. But we survived and received our Rock Werchter strap!
First thing I did was buying a Rockwerchter hat, fill it with water and refreshed my cooked head, ah, let the party begin!

highlights of day 1

Within Temptation

First morning; too tired to sit and eat..

I HAVE found the canadian flag and hung it in our camp.
On the first evening we met two canadians, I was overjoyed and scared them away with my Canada fanitism.
They wonderred if any of us were canadian and then wonderred if we took their flag! Because their flag got stolen. When we told them we hung the flag for our Justin Bieber mascot that hung in the middle of the partytent, we got looked at pretty weird.
Unfortunately by the end of day 2, also our flag got stolen.. So I'm without a canadian flag again ._.

Sleeping at the camping terrain was really easy, I put one plug in and slept without any disturbances. In the morning I didn't wake up by the noise or the light... I woke up by the heat.
Whenever the sun coverred the tent, it was unbearable to stay inside, so up till two times I dragged my bed outside and slept in the shadow..

Highlights of day 2

DJ Fresh

Pearl Jam

Day 3 highlights

Regina Spektor

Chase & status

On day 4, my shoulders were sunburnt from day 3, since I was wearing a backpack with me every day, I had to leave it that day. Instead my friend would carry my wallet with her.
As soon as we enterred the terrain and started dancing on dropkick murphys, that friend joined me in. After the song she turned around and found that her bag was stolen, with my wallet inside.
So after an hour of search I called my mom and blocked my bankpass just in case. Afterwards I got the plan to report this at the lost items.
As I got there, they had already found the bag with everything included... Even the money!
All that was out were just the consume coupons. What a happening..

Highlights of day 4

Dropkick murphys

Ed Sheeran

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Unfortunately I fell ill halfway RHCP's performance, so I head back to the camping right when this song started to play.
I knew there would be a firework ending, so I didnt sleep just yet and waited for the fireworks.
I heard from my friend that RHCP already ended and people were going back to their tents when suddenly...

I got out of my tent for this....

Afterwards, it was really hard to fall asleep, it was suddenly supercold that I needed 2 sweaters and my jogging pants in my sleeping bag to try and fall asleep. It was still cold..

The morning after we broke everything down and I could join one of my friends car to home.. The trip home took us 5 hours. But we enjoyed it all.

Rockwerchter, friends, you were awesome! Let's repeat this next year!

Looking for...

It started as a joke;

Friends and I are going to visit Rockwerchter thursday where we will stay for 4 days. We're building up a camp and need a flag for it, this, is my responcibility. Since I have a american flag laying around my room, since I am half american, I asked the lead if it was OK to use that. But the lead responded "Justin Bieber won't appreciate that" so I replied "I will get you a Canadian flag then" He was OK with that :P
So since I'm all up for Canada, I'll just get this for real cause I could use it afterwards, maybe..

About Rockwerchter..

It's a fourdays festival with great artists like
 - Within temptation
 - Justice
 - Skrillex
 - The kooks
 - Deadmau5
 - Mumfords and sons
 - Editors
 - Chase and status
 - Regina Spektor
 - Agnes Obel
 - Florence and the machine
 - Snow patrol
 - Red hot chili peppers
 - James Morrison
 - Millow
and more

 -> Lineup!
You can check it out, have any tips I should definitly see?
Especially on day 2, because I don't know many bands performing that day

It's gonna be my first festival so I'm really curious onto what's going to happen and how it could be like. Maybe it's a beginning of something new!

But for now I'll just let it come and look for my canadian flag~
Ohyea, I have an car theory exam in 2 hours, wish me luck okay? I really hope to get it in one try.
Take care and have a nice day!

I've been starting doing workouts by Shantea Mac.
Not to lose weight or anything but just to shape up my body.

Random update:
My laptop is tripping and so half of my programs don't work anymore. When I'm really tired of it I will reformat the laptop but so untill then I have no games to play anymore. Damn you, hours spending time on making a big family trees on sims 2 -.-.
So I decided to find fun in other things.

Therefor, getting back in shape!

Here are some of the excersize videos by Shantea Mac:

I have only did this excersize yet, it's simple, easy to follow for any level and noticable the day after!

I haven't seen this one yet, but I want to try this soon.

Now comes the more fun stuff. When dancing you are kind of excersizing as well, this combines excersizing with practising your moves on the dancefloor, 2 hits at once?

As well as bellydancing, to shape your belly and practising moves on the dancefloor.

Now this isnt that Canada related, but I'd just share what I'm doing these days.

So what do you think of these excersizes? Drop me a line down below

Have a nice day and talk to you later!

Roadtrip Canada - Getting a car

Because my plan has stretched one more year by my new study, I will miss the oppertunity of going to Canada.

So suddenly as I go home from driveclasses (which is going great btw! :D) I was dreaming of a roadtrip through Canada! Like a preview before moving there.
If I get my licence before summerbreak ends, I might get the old car from my mom in august. I'll be free to stand and go wherever my heart desires, if it isnt across seas!

I went surfing the net to find info on and about Canada. How different are driving cars abroad north america and how long are you permitted to drive around before you're forced to get a Canadian licence...

This is what I've found;

- For renting a car in Canada you're required to get an 'international drivelicence' before going to Canada if you want to drive a car for a stay less than a year
(If it's just three months and you're from the Netherlands, you may use your current licence)

- For a stay longer than a year, it is suggested you get a canadian licence you can get at each province.
Visit CiC official website (Canadian immigration)

- Unlike europe, North America has wide open roads with 4 to 6 lanes on the highway considered 'normal'. Therefor bigger cars drive in Northern America and Canada to cross long distances on wide roads while compact models of europe are made for crossing small roads and turns.

- American cars are usually build way tougher, but are lower on quality and design as european tend to put effort in that. Therefor it is said you get more service of an european car as they are lasting longer.

- You can import a car to Canada, hire a car or buy it secondhand.
The best choice to do depends of your stay, of how much it means to you and on how much you want to spend on it.
Sometimes getting a car gets you over 1000,- dollar costs, I read a story how it was cheaper to buy a secondhand car for 800 dollar and lateron sell it quickly for about 200 dollar (which gave you another 200 benefit)

- You need the right papers when driving as Canadian laws are very strict. If missing an insurance paper, you can risk a fee of 5000,- dollar.
You need a legit driving licence, emission test, a safety certification, a legit vehicle ownership paper, an legit insurance paper, and in some states a validation sticker.

For more info bout driving behaviours you can visit the next
Rijgedrag in Amerika  (Dutch)
Rijden in Canada (Dutch)

Hiring a car beforehand can be done here

I hope I saved up enough info for now, if I'm missing out something important, you're welcome to comment down below.

So, are you dreaming of a roadtrip through Canada?

I've officially graduated! :D

Yesterday I received my first professional diplom of "Multimediadesign - animations"

It was a nice evening with a lot of happy people, it really paid off the hard work we all put into the final projects and now we can really shut that chapter and move to the next!

The addendum year Interactive course is up next where I'll get my second diplom after just one year. It's gonna be tough but it's the next step on getting closer to Canada!

The girls and me

The whole graduation class :D

But I will really, really miss my class ):

Oh it's my life

My wetsuit hanging in my room
It's my new life and I love it.. It's full of activity and it makes me a better person!

I love being sportive and having fun at the same time. Snowboarding, kitesurfing, skating, etc. makes me so happy!

On the other side, it is so expensive! That board is my boyfriends, I'm currently saving for my own. That will take about 1000,- euros..
My boyfriend want to go on a kitesurf holiday this summer and going on a wintersport holiday this winter. But all together, I can't finance this x_X
Leaving out the fact that I want to move out to Canada one day as well!
I'm lucky I have one extra year at school studying so it gives me some more space to save money as I need at least 5000,- for canada (excl. flight ticket!)

But my job isn't really giving me the oppertunity to save, so meanwhile studying it is important for me to get another job so I can balance my expenses I do for living my new life./workingmode ON!

But shit is worth it!
I'm lucky I live in a rich country where this all is possible. It's good to realize that, I'm really lucky.

Because a lazy day is okay

I know I haven't wrote in a hellalong time
But today I have a lazy day-yay!

These days I'm quite busy taking drivelessons and studying cartheory to get my licence before school starts again. I haven't heard anything from my applications yet so I'll have to get after them as well as looking for anything else.
I've visited friends, gone shopping and sporting, as well as visiting the beach with my boyfriend.
He bought his own kiteset so whenever there's wind we're off to find the best spots.

We gone to Zeeland, Netherlands last weekend to visit his friend and been kiting all evening. We really had a good time and spend the night at the camping where his friend was staying. It felt like we were all off on holiday while it was just one night... Ultimate freedom... To just go where the wind is and to just have fun all the time. :D

I can fly!

Kiting with my boyfriend

Having drinks with my friend, Cheerz!

And some yummy waffle ^-^

I'll soon do a canadapost again to keep this blog honor to its name.
I hope you've all had a lovely weekend and talk to you soon ~

Meanwhile shopping...

Venezia, not Venice

City trip with sis and mom in Venezia!! :D

Music everywhere

Such as the icecream <3

So, THIS is where the boats are coming from!!

The real original masks from Venezia, each a piece of art.
Deep sea baby

Second of three islands we visited

Burano, third and last island we visited

My first experience exploring another country..
Though it was only one city, it was still awesome :D

We experienced an earthquake the first night which I didn't notice much more than "We're in Venezia, we're surrounded by sea, of course the house is moving" and slept on. But found out the news the next day. Because we only felt the aftershocks from far away, nothing really happened in Venezia itself. So we could explore safely.

We've visited old churches, streets and musea.. A lot of restaurants and the islands Murano, Burano and Torcello. I wanted to get away from the tourists passage so we could see the real Venezia. When we got lost it was the perfect oppertunity to find out. What we saw was the regular working life on boats, you really wouldn't miss a car here. Everything is easy to reach on foot or boat so we didn't notice the absence of a car those four days.

We kind of noticed the local people of Venezia aren't that friendly towards each other, in the city gondolars didn't greet each other, I could understand if concurrency only but outside of the city this was the same story. They didn't smile much and ignore anyones absence. When my sister asked the vendour of a maskshop if he himself made all the masks he irritatedly sarcasticly answerred "No I just pretend I do." as he was painting a mask. Also did we get sent away from restaurants often when we just wanted to drink instead of having a meal. So all- by- all, quite strange.

However, it didn't take away the fun of getting lost in the thight streets, experience another, old, world and culture, eating real italian pasta, icecream and pizza and enjoying the great weather...

Now I'm just hungry for more sightseeing in this beautiful world.. It has so much to offer!

I can't wait till the next trip!
